Principal's Corner

Hello JHS Community,

My name is Laura Pierce-Cummings and I am honored to be the principal of JHS.  I have been in education more than 30 years and time does fly by.   I have taught in Lithuania as a Peace Corps volunteer, in New Jersey as a language arts teacher, and in Salem-Keizer as an instructional coach.  Prior to coming to Jefferson, I was the administrator for a  program for high school students who were new to the United States and just beginning to learn English.  

I absolutely love meeting and working with students, families and other educators.  I am dedicated and committed to supporting our staff and students, working with families and community, and to call Jefferson my work home.  I am proud to be part of the Jefferson High School team!
